Exploration operations in the exploration sector of Sarmak Mining Company are performed on the mineralization zone (deposit) at scales of 1:500 or 1:1000 or 1:2000 depending on the type of mineral and the extent of the mineralization zone, and include the following::‌

  • Preparation of geological-topographical maps of the deposit area at 1:500 or 1:1000, 1:2000, commensurate with the formation and type of mineral and its geological-mineralogical characteristics
  • Sampling for petrographic studies, polished sections,XRF and chemical analysis in the required number depending on the type of mineral and its extent
  • Digging trenches and wells and performing geological surveys and sampling from them
  • Geophysical operations along profiles perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the mineralization zone at the required intervals
  • Determining the drilling network and drilling exploratory boreholes on geophysical anomaly areas, along with core sampling and sampling from them
  • Geochemical evaluation based on samples taken from trenches and exploratory boreholes to determine the trend of the mineralization zone and discover hidden reserves
  • Determining the shape of the deposit, the average grade, and the proven reserves of the deposit
  • Conducting technical-economic studies on the deposit
  • Integration of all data, interpretation of results, and submission of the final report

Mineral Exploration :

If the deposit explored by exploration engineers is rich enough and its reserve volume is significant enough that extracting its materials is economically profitable, it is given the name "mine". The art of extracting materials from a mine is also a branch of mining engineering called mining engineering, and it is one of the oldest and most complex engineering fields in the world. Entering this field requires an interest and basic knowledge of engineering mathematics, advanced geometry, innovative designs and spatial visualization, mechanics, and heavy machinery. Graduates of this field will be able to design, manage, and extract a discovered mine up to the stage of supplying raw materials to the market. Mining engineering activities include drilling, creating open-pit and underground spaces from small to very large dimensions, structural engineering and maintenance, transportation and transfer of drilling and extracted materials, ventilation throughout the extent of underground mines, collection of groundwater, and finally, the trade and economics of minerals. At the same time, these engineers play a fundamental and guiding role in tunnel and subway engineering and the creation of underground spaces and caverns for hydroelectric power plants in the dam construction and environmental industries.
