Extraction in the Garaveh mine (natural bitumen):
Extraction in this mine is done in two ways. For thicker parts (thickness above 5 meters), the open-pit method is used, and for parts with a thickness of less than 5 meters, the underground method is used. In the open-pit method, the overburden thickness is about 70 meters, which is removed as an open-pit step with steps of 12 meters high and 10 meters wide. The underground method in this mine is of the room and pillar type, with pillars of 2-3 meters wide, and the pillars are made of mineral material, and the extraction recovery is about 60%.

Iron ore extraction in the Ahangaran mine:

Iron extraction in the mine is done by open-pit and step methods. The height of the steps is about 15 meters. The grade of iron ore is about 35% pure iron. Iron ore extraction is done by classical methods including drilling and blasting.

Lead ore extraction in the Ahangaran mine:

Lead has been extracted from the Ahangaran mine since 1956. Lead ore extraction in this mine is done by underground methods, with loader tunnels with a total length of more than 12 kilometers being dug in this mine.
